The Plymouth Concert Band was established in 1998 to enhance the sense of community in the City of Plymouth through local concert performances.  Since its inception, the group has strongly emphasized quality through its direction, musical literature, commitment of the players, rehearsal and performance standards.

The Band is composed of over 65 members from Plymouth and the local area. Our membership is diverse including teachers, scientists, business professionals, homemakers and more from recent college graduates to retirees, all sharing a passion for making music together.  The band’s efforts are supported in part by the Plymouth Fine Arts Council, members of Plymouth City staff and government, as well as grants and public donations.

Interested in playing with us?

The Plymouth Concert Band is always looking for talented musicians who share our love of concert band music and the desire to bring it to the community. Adult musicians with intermediate to advanced level skill interested in playing with the group are encouraged to inquire about our current needs by filling out our membership inquiry form.

If there is a need, the interested musician will be invited to a rehearsal. If the musicians is interested in joining the group after attending a rehearsal, he/she will be asked to play an audition for the conductor. The music for the audition will be provided by the PCB in advance of the audition to allow adequate preparation.

The Plymouth Concert Band openly welcomes all persons, including diversity in race, ethnicity, physical ability, gender identity/expression, national origin, appearance, and socio-economic status.

Rehearsal takes place on Monday evenings at 7PM at the
Wayzata High School band room.
