The Band
A Quarter Century of Music Together
The Plymouth Concert Band was founded in 1998 to foster a stronger sense of community in Plymouth through local concert performances. Since its inception, the group has consistently prioritized excellence through its leadership, musical repertoire, dedication of the musicians, and high standards for rehearsals and performances.
Comprised of over 60 volunteer musicians, our membership is diverse, representing a broad range of occupations from teachers and artists to business professionals and engineers, and from recent college graduates to retirees, all sharing a passion for making music together.
Our mission is to embody the finest traditions of the symphonic wind band, and to create community and fellowship amongst its members and audience. After a quarter century We hope to continue this tradition of making music together and sharing it with our community.
The Plymouth Concert Band is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supported by the City of Plymouth through the Plymouth Fine Arts Council and the generosity of our audience and community.
